Title:
MOLDED CHARCOAL AND METHOD FOR IGNITING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009019155
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a molded charcoal installed with a layer for ignition so as to be able to simply ignite by a lighter fire even for a charcoal having a poor igniting property.

This molded charcoal is provided by, on the center of the charcoal layer 11 molded from a powdery granular charcoal, forming a fine powdery charcoal layer 13 consisting of the fine powdery charcoal having a smaller particle diameter than that of the powdery granular charcoal, and also forming an igniting layer 14 on the fine powdery charcoal layer 13 by attaching a mixture of iron oxide with ash. By only heating the igniting layer 14 with the lighter, etc., for a prescribed time, the ash keeps the temperature of the iron oxide, conducts the heat which the iron oxide receives, to the fine powdery charcoal layer 13 and then to the charcoal layer 11 efficiently, and promotes the ignitibility of the molded charcoal.
