Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a molded plastic article having high hardness and excellent scratch resistance and durability of antistaticity, by forming a crosslinked resin film on the surface of an article by the radiation of actinic energy ray, and then forming a plasma-polymerized film having crosslinked structure.

CONSTITUTION: A molded plastic article is irradiated wih actinic energy ray to form a crosslinked resin coating layer, and a plasma-polymerized film having crosslinked structure is formed on the surface. The crosslinked resin coating film is preferably a mixture of compounds containing (meth)acryloyloxy group having an average molecular weight of ≤300 per one (meth)acryloyloxy group, and the thickness is ≥0.5μ, preferably 1W100μ. The plasma-polymerized film is preferably a compound composed mainly of silicon and oxygen, especially a mixture of tetramethylsilane and oxygen.
