Abstract:
To efficiently manufacture a high-quality battery without generating frictional force between a roller member and a battery can when a groove section is molded.
This device is provided with a battery can pressing mechanism 14 for rotating a battery can 12 in the pressed state in the axial direction, a groove section forming mechanism 18 for forming an annular groove section 16 near the opening section 12a of the battery can 12, and a lubricant coating mechanism 22 for applying dodecane 40 as a lubricant on the projection 36 of a roller member 20 constituting the groove section forming mechanism 18.
