PURPOSE: To reduce anisotropic characteristic of a graphite molded body and to improve the dimensional accuracy by executing finish molding of a mixture consisting of previously molded graphite particles and a binder by the pressure applied from three-dimensional directions.

CONSTITUTION: A mixture of graphite particles and a binder is charged in a specified molding box and molded previously by applying a one-dimensional compressive force. The previously molded product is charged to a specified molding box and subjected to finish molding by applying three-dimensional compressive force. Thus, the density of the molding is made uniform and the anisotropic characteristic of the molded product is reduced and the dimensional accuracy of the finished product is improved.
