The molding mounting rail is provided with: a lengthy body mounted to a vehicle; a molding assembling part formed on a surface side of the body; a support leg formed on a back surface side of the body along a longitudinal direction and having a length contacting with a vehicle outer wall; and a water-proof wall formed below the support leg in parallel and having a height contacting with a vehicle surface. Furthermore, the molding assembling part comprises an extension part projected to an outer side along a longitudinal direction of the body, and has an engagement part provided with upper and lower sides of the body and assembling upper and lower edges of the molding between the extension parts. The body has a through-hole opened to an upper side more than a support leg and below the upper extension part of the molding assembling part; and a water-discharge hole opened to an upper part more than the lower extension part of the molding assembling part. A water-passing part capable of passing water in a vertical direction is provided on the water-proof wall.
