PURPOSE: To improve an utility factor of reaction gases, by dividing wavy collector plates in plural numbers along the flowing direction of the reaction gases and making composition in which crests and bottoms of the divided wavy collector plates are mutually shifted on the boundaries between these respective divisions.
CONSTITUTION: Wavy collector plates 5 are divided in plural number, as shown by symbols 5A and 5B, along the flowing direction of the reaction gases, and crests and bottoms of the divided wavy collector plates are mutually shifted on the boundaries between these respective divisions so that the crests of the divided parts 5A and placed facing the bottoms of the divisions 5B. Hence, the gasses, flowing through the gas paths 9 on the cell-frame side in the regions for the divisions 5A of the wavy collector plates 5, are changed to flow through the gas paths 8 on the electrode side in the regions for the divisions 5B, on the boundaries between these respectively divided wavy collector plates themselves. On the other hand, the gases, flowing through the gas paths 8 on the electrode side in the regions for the divisions 5A, are changed to flow through the gas paths 9 on the cell-frame side in the regions for the divisions 5B. Thus, the passages for the flow are exchanged up and down, with the wavy collector plates 5 themselves being as boundaries. Hence, in the process of flowing through the gas paths, all supply-reaction gases are made to flow through the gas paths on the electrode side. Therefore, an utility factor of reaction gases becomes remarkably improved.
