PURPOSE: To improve detecting accuracy and reliability of constant-length feeding by detecting and judging indicating part provided at constant spaces on a band shaped object and indicating part provided on a gear which rotates synchronizing with a driving shaft.
CONSTITUTION: The first indicating part 2 and the first detecting circuit which detects the first detecting part 2 are provided at a constant space on a band shaped object 1, and also, the second indicating part 18 and the second detecting part 19 to detect the second detecting part 18 are provided on a gear 14 which turns synchronizing with a motor 15 to run the band shaped object 1. Pulse outputs detected at these detecting circuits 3, 19 are impressed to a judging circuit 26. When the output signals coincide, an output from an AND circuit 30 becomes 1, and when they don't, it becomes 0. As the constant-length feeding of the band shaped object 1 is thus detected by these two detecting circuits 3, 19, the detecting accuracy and the reliability can be improved.
