PURPOSE: To manufacture a motor rotor having excellent electrical and strength characteristics by a simple method.
CONSTITUTION: A rotor core 1 is set in a mold, and a mixed material 29 wherein a molten metal 27 of a low-melting-point metallic material (e.g. Al) is mixed with solid particles 28 of a material (e.g. Cu) having a more excellent conductivity than the low-melting-point metallic material is injected and filled into a conductor cavity section 4 of the rotor core 1 from its one end. Then, the mixed material 29 filled into a conductor cavity section 4 is compressed before the molten Al solidifies, and thereby, the considerable quantity of the molten Al in the mixed material 29 is extracted from the conductor cavity section 4. Thus, the mixed material 29 is filled into the conductor cavity section 4 in the state wherein the Cu particles are contained richly therein. Subsequently, the molten Al in the mixed material 29 filled into the conductor cavity section 4 is solidified, and thereby, a motor rotor made of the mixed material 29 wherein the Cu particles are contained richly in an Al matrix is obtained. The Cu particles in the Al matrix form a continum while they are contacted with each other.
