To perform display for recommending kick starting by detecting a state in which cell starting is possible, and to prevent a battery charging amount from being reduced and battery performance from being decreased by unreasonable cell starting in a hybrid type vehicle.
The battery 23 is power-generated by a generator also used as a starter motor 26 driven by an engine 3, and is charged by electric power. The starter motor 6 and the vehicle traveling motor 7 are driven making the battery 23 as a power source. ECU 24 compares SOC of the battery 23 and an intake temperature representing a battery temperature measured by a temperature sensor 20 with a predetermined value respectively. If the SOC or the intake temperature is a predetermined value or less, since the kick starting is recommended, a kick starting recommendation display unit 266 provided on a meter panel 26 is lighted/displayed.
