The invention includes a supporting member 1 at least with its ends 10 formed having a cylindrical section and the energy absorbing member 2 of FRP having a cylindrical section and made of reinforcing fibers and resin to generate pressure destruction bit by bit from the side with input end by applying the input load in the axial direction, wherein the base part 11 of the energy absorbing member 2 is fitted to the end 10 of the supporting member 1 and their fitting surfaces in the radial direction are joined together by adhesion, and also the energy absorbing member 2 is abutted to the supporting member 1 by axial direction abutting surfaces 10 and 11 and joined.
