To solve the following problems that a movement assisting tool is limited in use when the assisting tool is not used when a mechanism for relieving burden on an assistant interferes an obstacle, so as to deteriorate effectiveness for relieving the burden, or the mechanism for relieving burden on the assistant adversely impose burden on the assistant.

The seats of the movement assisting tool is divided into portions. The divided seats are respectively and independently extended/contracted so as to horizontally slip into the lower part of each thigh or each base of the thigh by an orthogonal angle toward knees from the front center part of the person to be assisted. The seats are put down and stored vertically in order to evade the mutual interference of the seats when extended/contracted. Consequently, possibility for allowing the movement assisting tool not to be used owing to the obstacle is reduced, so as to relieve the burden on the person to be assisted and the assistant.
