Abstract:
PURPOSE:To smoothly accomplish a rectilineal motion and a turning motion of a rotary table with small driving force by disposing side by side two ball screw devices respectively driven by motors, and fixing the rotary table to a pinion engaged with racks of the devices simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A pair of motors 21 are disposed parallel at a space therebetween on a fixed base 2, and screw shafts 22 parallel to each other are connected to output shafts 1a of the respective motors 21 through couplings 4. The respective screw shafts 22 are rotatably supported on the base 2 by bearings 5. A pair of nuts 23 are fitted to these screw shafts 22, and racks 24 (24L, 24R) sliding on rails 25 are fixed to a pair of nuts 23. The respective racks 24 and disposed in such a manner that the toothed sides thereof confront with each other, and a pinion 26 adapted to engage with the teeth of the racks simultaneously is interposed between both racks 24. A robot rotatably supported on a slide base 7 sliding on rails 8 is coupled to the pinion 26 through a fixing shaft 28.
