PURPOSE: To constitute a ribbon take-up mechanism in an extremely simple structure without especially requiring other drive source, by driving the ribbon take-up mechanism with the rotary power of a rotary running part at the time of running.
CONSTITUTION: A take-up reel 34 receives the rotary power of a running aid roller 9 via an angle belt 46, which is trained over the take-up reel 34 and the running air roller 9 and to which tension is applied by a pulley 46', to perform take-up operation. The take-up reel 34 takes up a ribbon in length equal to or more than the feed distance by a ribbon feed roller 40 by so difining the inner diameter of said reel. That is, when the diameter of the running aidroller 9 is set to D1, the diameter of the pulley 51 coaxial with the roller 9 to d1 and the outer diameter of the pulley 79 for the angle belt 46 coaxial with the reel 34 to d2, the diameter D2 is set (initialized) so as to satisfy D2≥D1(d2/d1). Therefore, as the ribbon 32 is taken up by the take-up reel 34, the outer diameter of the ribbon in the tkae-up side gradually becomes larger than D2 and, as a result, the take-up length of the ribbon is increasing with respect to definite moving distance. By this method, taking-up equal to or more than the moving distance is performed.
