To prepare a mulch film for agriculture raising ground temperature through covering the ridge surface of soil on which heat seeds are sowed, suppressing growth of weeds to promote growth of crops, and enabling sprouted buds to push and open a part of slits of the film and suitably grow even if a sprouting position and a slit position shift from each other.

This mulch film for agriculture comprises a long-size polyethylene resin film having a thickness of 10-29μm and formed with many linear slits almost parallel to each other. The polyethylene resin film comprises a polyethylene resin having density of 0.80-0.928 g/cm3 and stiffness of 180-240MPa measured based on American Society of Testing Materials D822. The slit has a length of 50-180 mm, an angle of 45-90 degree with respect to the longitudinal direction of the long polyethylene resin film and an interval between the slits of 5-25 mm.
