PURPOSE: To enable an operation mode to be fixed without using any cooling-heating changing-over remote controller by a method wherein an option switch is installed in a remote control switch, an operation mode changing-over can be carried out when the switch is set to ON and a mode setting can be carried out only when the multi-air conditioner is stopped when the switch is OFF.
CONSTITUTION: An outdoor device 1 is connected to indoor devices 3 and 4 through a transmitting circuit 1b. The indoor device 2 is connected to a remote control switch 5 through transmitting circuits 2b and 2a and to the outdoor device 1 and the indoor device 3. The indoor devices 3 and 4 are also connected in the same manner as above. Remote control switches 5 to 7 are provided with option switches. In the event that the option switch of the remote control switch 5 is turned on and the other option switch is turned off, and that the multi-air conditioner is stopped, the operation mode is set with the remote control switches 5 to 7 to enable its operation to be carried out. Thereafter, the operation mode changing-over can not be performed with the operation changing-over switches for the remote control switches 6 and 7, the non- operated condition is displayed at a liquid crystal displaying part and then the changing-over can be performed only with the operation changing-over switch of the remote control switch 5.
