Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an excellent directivity over a wide range by preferentially using a mirror surface with excellent beam convergence performance so as to suppress the deterioration in the directivity and a side lobe characteristic.
SOLUTION: A multi-beam antenna emits a beam from primary radiators 2a-2c as beams 3a-3c via a reflecting mirror 1. In this case, the face perpendicular to the beam direction is used for an aperture, the electric field distribution on the aperture is used for an aperture electric field distribution, and the phase corresponding to one point of a reflecting mirror in the aperture electric field distribution is used for a reference phase and a deviation between the phase in the aperture electric field distribution and a reference phase is used for an aperture phase deviation, and the aperture phase deviation corresponding to each point on the reflecting mirror face is subjected to weight mean for each beam direction. The weight mean value is obtained as to the entire reflecting mirror face, in which equi-potential lines are drawn and a contour is decided along the equi-potential lines obtained there. Thus, even when a mirror surface aberration is not neglected because the aperture diameter and the beam radiation angle range are large, the antenna is excellent in the beam convergence and the side lobe characteristic is improved.
