In this multi-color EL display provided with a pixel region installed on a substrate, and a plurality of sub-pixels installed in the pixel region, the sub-pixel has a multilayered deposition structure including a color light emitting unit comprising an electroluminescent material which emits light with a specific color, and the pixel region is provided with the sub-pixels having at least two or more kinds of multilayered deposition structure. Thereby, this multi-color EL display emits light with two or more different colors. The size and deposition of the sub-pixel are varied by changing the number of light emitting units in the sub-pixel and their region to compensate attenuation of the color of the sub-pixel.
