To obtain a multi-focus lens capable of removing distortion in an intermediate progressive near part area and having a required optical characteristic by forming a band area expanded in a horizontal direction on the center part of an inner curve and setting the curvature of the band area so as to progressively change it correspondingly to the intermediate progressive near part of an outer curve.

The outer curve of the multi-focus lens 1 consists of a spherical part having a fixed radius of curvature in a far part area 11 expanded to the upper part and the right and left parts, a spherical part having a fixed radius of curvature in a near part area 12 on the lower center and a non-spherical part monotonously reducing a radius of curvature in an intermediate progressive near part area 13. The curvature of the area 13 is monotonously reduced from a boundary with the area 11 to a boundary with the area 12. In the inner curve of the lens 1, the non-spherical part S3 is formed like a band in the center horizontal direction of the inner curve correspondingly to th shape of the outer curve and its curvature is monotonously reduced from the upper part to the lower part.
