Title:
MULTI-LAYERED STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3751983
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a multi-layered structure which is permeation-preventive and shock resistant for not only gasoline but also water-mixed gasoline and gasohol by a method wherein a polyolefin layer of which a surface is treated with a halogen compound or a sulfur compound is laminated on a layer containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer or a polyamide.
CONSTITUTION: A surface of a polyolefin wherein the polyolefin and an ethylene- vinyl alcohol copolymer and/or a polyamide are treated with a halogen compound or a sulfur compound via an adhesive resin if nessary, is molded so as to be positioned especially on a surface in contact with fuel. As the molding, a co-extrusion sheet molding method or the like is exemplified. Fluorine gas is optimum as the halogen compound, and SO3 is representatively exemplified as the sulfur compound. A multi-layered structure to be obtained is excellent in a barrier property against methanol and MTBE-containing gasoline and excellent in shock resistance.
