PURPOSE: To make an operational efficiency good and prevent a keyboard from requiring a floor area too much by operating the keyboard in a constitution where the tape wound around the roller of a rotary part is rotated to move characters on the tape and change a character which can be saw from the window of the keyboard.

CONSTITUTION: When an operator rotates handle 10, roller rotary axis 12 is rotated through rotary board 9, main rigid wheel 8 and auxiliary rigid wheel 7; and by rotating roller 5 gearing with axis 12, wound roll tape 4 is rotated to move cha- racters on the tape and change a character which can be saw from window 2 of keyboard 1. Here, when keyboard 1 is pressed down manually, roller rotary axis separating bar 11 is pressed downward to separate rotary axis 12 from keyboard 1. Therefore, roller 5 causes the contact of electrode 6 to contact with the contact of other electrode 6, and separates keyboard 1 to restore it to the original position, thereby separating the contact of electrode 6. As a result, an operational efficiency can be made good, and the keyboard can be prevented from requiring a floor area too much.
