Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compounds that exhibit kallikrein inhibitory activity and are effective against ophthalmic diseases, such as diabetic macular edema, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, and dermatological symptoms, such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and Netherton syndrome.SOLUTION: The present invention provides, e.g., multisubstituted aromatic compounds represented by compound 2 and compound 4. Preferably, the compound is administered orally or in the form of an ophthalmic composition applied topically to an eye as an eye drop.SELECTED DRAWING: None
