Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve short circuit and delamination failures between internal electrodes and reduce acoustic noise generated at voltage application.SOLUTION: A multilayer ceramic electronic component comprises: a ceramic body including dielectric layers and having opposite first and second main surfaces, first and second side faces and first and second end faces; a plurality of first internal electrodes formed within the ceramic body, having a capacitance portion exposed to the first side face, the first end face and the second end face and a first lead portion, and spaced from the second side face by a fixed distance; a plurality of second internal electrodes laminated alternately with the first internal electrodes via the dielectric layers, and spaced from the second side face by a fixed distance; first and second external electrodes coupled to the lead portion; and insulating layers formed on the first side face, the first end face and the second end face. The distances by which the first internal electrodes and the second internal electrodes are spaced from the second side face are different from each other, and 0.76≤T2/T1≤0.97 is satisfied, where T1 is the longest distance between upper and lower outermost internal electrodes of the first and second internal electrodes and T2 is the shortest distance therebetween.
