Abstract:
To prepare a multilayered coating film excellent in acid resistance and wet-on-wet properties without detriment to the gloss, coating film performance, and beautiful appearance inherent in a thermosetting acrylic resin.
This multilayered coating film is formed by a 2-coat-1-bake method and comprises a base coat layer formed from a thermosetting resin compsn. contg. 50-100wt.% acrylic copolymer produced by copolymerizing 5-50wt.% α,β-unsatd. vinyl monomer having an N-alkoxyalkylated amide group with 50-95wt.% other α,β-unsatd. vinyl monomer copolymerizable therewith and a clear coat layer formed from a thermosetting resin compsn. contg. an epoxy compd. and a compd. having a carboxyl group and/or a dibasic acid anhydride group.
