PURPOSE: To perform delicate answer confirmation and to improve reliability in multiple address communication mode, by using the modulation output of a phase modulating means for an image signal transmitting means on the amplitude modulation system.
CONSTITUTION: A carrier from the carrier oscillation part 11 of a photographic transmitter 19 is phase-modulated by a phase modulation part 7 with transmitted pulses from a communication control part 1, and its phase modulation output is amplitude-modulated by an image signal from a photoelectric conversion part 3 and transmitted. On a reception side, a carrier regeneration part 12 regenerates the carrier, which is modulated by a phase modulation part 8 and inputted to a communication control part 2. Further, an image signal is regenerated by an amplitude demodulation part 6. An ansewer signal from the communication part 2 on the reception side, on the other hand, is supplied to a phase modulation part 7 to phase-modulate the carrier from the carrier regeneration part 12, and the modulation output is sent to the transmission side to perform answer confirmation.
