Abstract:
To provide a multistage attenuator capable of obtaining attenuation for a wide range of signal levels by configuring such that the multistage attenuator is mechanically synchronized and switched.SOLUTION: There is provided, a multistage attenuator comprising a first electrode substrate 1 and a second electrode substrate 2 on which a common electrode and a plurality of divided electrode patterns are arranged concentrically and which are provided with respective sliding contacts 5, 13 connecting the common electrode and the divided electrode patterns by rotation of an axis. The multistage attenuator is configured such that the plurality of divided electrode patterns 3, 4 etc. on the first electrode substrate is, connected, via a resistor R11 etc., to an adjacent electrode pattern, the common electrode formed on the first electrode substrate is connected to an electrode pattern 8 at an end among the plurality of electrode patterns 8, 9 etc. formed on the second electrode substrate, and the electrode pattern 3 at an end among the plurality of electrode patterns formed on the first electrode substrate is input 14, while the common electrode formed on the second electrode substrate is output 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
