Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of complicated operations and to eliminate the change of even the parameter of a basic tone itself at the time of changing the parameter of a combinational tone by deciding which one of a bank side parameter and a basic tone side parameter is to be used based on selection information in bank tone data.
SOLUTION: A CPU 101 selects a tone from a tone data library provided on a ROM 103 and a memory device 104, develops it in a tone buffer and an editing buffer on a RAM 102 and edits tone data developed in the editing buffer. At the time of synthesizing musical sound by using waveform data, one of the stored plural bank tone data is selected and which one of the bank side parameter and the basic tone parameter is to be used is decided based on the selection information in the data. Then, the musical sound is synthesized by using the decided parameter and using the waveform data specified by waveform specifying data in the selected bank tone data.
