To obtain the subject compound having a specific hindered piperidine skeleton, capable of imparting high molecular materials with high weatherability and heat resistance when incorpoorated wherein, thus useful in synthetic rubbers, etc.

This new amino group-bearing compound is shown by formula I, e.g. 2-methyl-3-(N-β-cyanoethyl-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidylamino)-N-(N-β- cyanoethyl-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)propionamide. This compound of formula I is obtained, pref., for example, by refluxing acrylonitrile and 2- methyl-3-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidylamino)-N-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)- propionamide at 78-82°C for about 8h.
