Abstract:
PURPOSE: To correctly perform the new recording from a previous recording completing point even at the time of releasing the temporary stopping condition by measuring the read distance.
CONSTITUTION: A recording side device 2 is made into a reproducing condition from before the previous recording completing point. At the time point t1 when a read distance dx passes move than the previous recording completing point, the recording side device 2 is made into the reproduction temporary stopping condition and subsequently, at a time t2, the recording is also made into the temporary stopping condition. A reproducing side device 1 releases the temporary stop of the recording side device 2 from the editing starting point passing time, at a time t3 when the position before a recording starting change time Trec is obtained, and thus, the previous recording completing point can be made into the new recording starting point. The read distance dx is stipulated by dx=A-C+(t5-t3-Trec).V from tape travelling positions A and C, a travelling speed V and prescribed times t5, t3 and Trec. By such a constitution, when an editing point is set and edited cut by cut, a restraint is not performed for the next cut seek time.
