Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a butterfly valve allowing only a valve body to be easily fitted/removed without parting a connected duct and without lowering the strength of the duct.
CONSTITUTION: One end of the valve stem of a butterfly valve having valve stems 3, 4 at both ends is provided with a duct fitting flange 5 larger in diameter and thickness than a valve body 2. The flange 5 is fitted to the relative flange 16 of a duct 1, and the other ends are provided with removable bearings 6, 7 being fitted piercing the duct 1 through seal parts. The valve body 2 can be thereby removed from the duct 1 by removing the bearings 6, 7 and the duct fitting flange 5.
