PURPOSE: To simplify the installation of a rear window wiper for an automobile after assembly.

CONSTITUTION: On an installation metal fitting 1 for a rear window wiper, an upper piece 1a on which a wiper motor 3 is installed in the forward direction and a lower piece 1c which is connected with the upper piece 1a through a connection part 1c are formed, and each installation bolt 2 is screw-fitted in a plurality of tapped holes 9 formed on the lower piece 1c. When the front edge 11a of a trunk box hood 11 is inserted between the upper and lower pieces 1a and 1c of the installation metal fitting 1 and the installation bolt 2 is advaned, the installation metal fitting 1 is tightened with the front edge 11a of the trunk box hood 11.
