PURPOSE: To provide an electronic shutter camera excellent in resolution and sensitivity.

CONSTITUTION: A first optical image forming part has a first optical lens L11 forming an image as a first optical image 3, with light for the image from an object, and a deflecting member 2 forming the image with light from the object 1 through the optical lens L11, via an angle adjusting lens L12. A shutter voltage generating circuit 20 changes the refractive index of the deflecting member 2 by the output voltage of the circuit 20, and economically defects optical beams at high speed. On the other hand, a second optical image forming part has an optical lens L2 for forming the first optical image 3 on an output surface 6. In this structure, the image is formed centering the deflection of the deflecting member 2, so that the optical beams for the image light cross the opening hole of a blocking plate 5, and are swept, a shutter action is executed, and simultaneously, a still picture not blurred can be obtained on the output surface by the second optical lens L2.
