PURPOSE: To enable the conversion of a large force with a small-sized device which can be installed in a limited space by providing a measuring area of a main body constructed of a solid magnetic elastic material with an exciting coil for AC current supply and a measuring coil for force.
CONSTITUTION: A main body 1 of a solid magnetic elastic material provided with an exciting coil and a measuring coil transmits a force between two circular end faces. One annular end face 2 has an outside diameter equal to the diameter of the main body 1 and the other circular end face 3 slightly bent upward, and inside the center part of the bent end face, transmission of force to a bearing housing is performed. The main body 1 has a through hole at its center, and in the hole, a tension pin having a flange contacts to the other circular end face is inserted. At least in the center area between two end faces 2 and 3, the track of main stress extends along a substantially straight inclined path, and the inclination of the path corresponds to a virtual line showed with a doted line.
