PURPOSE: To provide a metallic gasket having an improved fallow-up ability by laminating the first elastic metal plate having beads and folding parts and the second elastic metal plate having beads upon each other, absorbing excellently mismatching of opposing installation surfaces, and sharing/supporting load change after fastening is completed.
CONSTITUTION: In this metallic gasket, a lower bead plate 1 forming folding parts 5 and beads 4 along cylinder bore holes 2 and an upper bead plate 8 being matched to the lower bead plate by bringing a projection part of beads 10 into contact with the projection part side of the beads 4, are laminated upon each other. By setting width of the beads 4 wider than width of the beads 10, dislocation of the mutual beads is prevented, or by narrowing the width of the beads between the cylinder bore holes 2 and 9, this metallic gasket is adapted to an internal combustion engine having small cylinder bore space.
