PURPOSE: To realize works for a long time with shielded lead batteries used as a power supply for portable working tools, which are inexpensive but high in performance, lighten the weight of tool main bodies, and enhance operability and operating performance to a great extent with the batteries made separately from the tools.
CONSTITUTION: The battery case 1 is composed of an upper cover 2 and a lower cover 3, which are connected by hinge sections 4 and 4 in such a manner that they can be opened. Partition boards 6a and 6b and rectangular frame bodies 7a and 7b connected to the partition boards are vertically set at the centers of the inner surfaces of the upper and lower covers so as to be formed into respective housing sections 8a and 8b, and when the upper cover 2 is closed, shielded lead storage batteries 5 and 5 can be held in the housing sections 8a and 8b respectively. Beside, the upper and lower covers 2 and 3 are formed into a double structure a size larger than the frame bodies 7a and 7b, and a plurality of ribs 9 are set between each frame body and the upper cover and between each frame body and the lower cover so as to allow cushion sections 10, to be formed between each cover 2 and 3 and each housing section 8a and 8b.
