Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of Cu scab (surface flow) without using a large amount of Ni by addition at the time of manufacturing a Cu added steel sheet.
CONSTITUTION: Hot rolling is executed after applying Ni compound on the surface of a slab contg. ≤0.1% C, ≤2% Si, ≤2% Mn, ≤0.1% Al, ≤0.1% P and 0.5-2.0% Cu. Further, the slab contains Ti and/or Nb. Since the Ni compound is applied only to the surface, the amount of Ni used is drastically reduced.
