Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent sending out an unnecessary echo suppressor function stop tone and to shorten the time required for communication by grasping in advance a classification of a communication transmission line at the time of executing an error retransmission caused by full duplex communication. CONSTITUTION:When an error retransmission mode is selected in a transmitter side and a receiver side has an error retransmission function of a full duplex operation, whether an error retransmission of the full duplex operation is suitable or not is decided by referring to a result of communication with the other party of communication in the past. When it is determined to execute an error retransmission in the full duplex communication system, and when it is not international communication, an error retransmission in a full duplex mode is executed without sending out an echo suppressor disable tone. Also, in case of international communication, the error retransmission in the full duplex mode is executed by sending out the echo suppressor disable tone immediately before a picture signal, although it is limited to the case of transmission to the called side from the calling side.
