PURPOSE: To obtain a first solution for permanent wave capable of waving hair excellently while maintaining hair in a good state without damaging hair.
CONSTITUTION: A first solution for permanent comprising (A) preferably 0.5-2wt.% quaternary ammonium salt of animal protein-derived peptide such as a compound of the formula (one or two of R1 to R3 are 8-20C alkyl or 8-20C alkenyl and the rest is 1-3C alkyl, 1-3C hydroxyalkyl or benzyl; A is 2-3C alkylene or 2-3C hydroxyalkylene; R4 is side chain of amino acid constituting peptide; n is 2-30), (B) preferably 0.5-2wt.% cationic surfactant such as cetyltrimethylammonium chloride, (C) preferably 0.5-2wt.% silicone such as chained polysiloxane or cyclic silicone and (D) preferably 2-8wt.% reducing agent such as ammonium thioglycolate. The hair treating agent prevents damage and reduction in moisture retention of hair by washing and occurrence of dryness and maintains wetness and luster of hair for a long period of time.
