Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensure the stability of product quality by detecting the outer diameter and capacitance of a covered wire and controlling a facility so that the deviation of either one of detected values exists within allowable range and the deviation of the other detected values is made small.
CONSTITUTION: A metal wire 4a with fine diameter supplied through a wire drawing machine 10 and an annealer 11 from a coil stocker 12 is passed through a cross head 2 of an extruder 3 to cover with an insulator composition made of a synthetic resin by extruding at foaming temperature or higher. The covered wire 4 is passed in a water cooling bath 6 with a moving cooling bath 5 to cool and solidfy it. In a metal wire covering fluidity 1, the outer diameter of the covered wire 4 is measured with a meter 8, and drawing velosity V and the supply amount of the insulator composition are adjusted. The capacitance is measured with a meter 7 and the position of the moving cooling bath 5 is adjusted. In an unstable state at start after maintenace, the supply amount is controlled so that ether one of deviations of both detected values from a target value exists within an allowable range and the other is made small.
