Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a high-safety cable by reinforcing the connection of the connector as to a metallic pipe inserting optical fiber cable which is lightweight and high in strength. CONSTITUTION:A fixing nut 8 which couples a flexible adapter 7 mounted on a pipe end of an optical fiber sheathed with a seamless pipe 4 or flexible pipe 6 as a metallic pipe, a body 11 connecting the optical fiber 10 with another optical fiber, and a connection part consisting of a ferrule 12 and a connecting nut 15 is provided with a caulking sleeve 8a which caulks the outer periphery of the metallic pipe covering the optical fiber 10.
