PURPOSE: To obtain a printer for ensuring a short-time transport of warped paper.
CONSTITUTION: A paper receiving part 15 of a feed guide 8 is formed askew to a running track of a printing head 5 and uniformly in height. When paper 1 is fed from feed rollers 14 toward feed rollers 3, the positions of a paper end 7 and the printing head 5 are controlled by simultaneously driving a feed motor 2 and a drive motor 6 for forcibly feeding the paper end 7 to the paper receiving part 15. Therefore, the warped paper 1 can be fed to the paper feed guide 8 with a high reliability. The uniform height of the paper receiving part ensures that the paper 1 never warps again. In addition, since a minimum and constant printing head action can be ensured regardless of a paper width, a paper width detection is not required, paper can be fed in a short time, and a printer can be formed at a low cost.
