Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent solder from flowing into a fitting part to guarantee a fitting characteristic by providing a tab-shaped solder stopping part inside a hollow electric terminal. CONSTITUTION: A hollow electric terminal 2 has a tab 28 in a passage 26 passing through it. The tab 28 punches the wall of a mounting part 6 leaving a fixed part 30 behind and is curved inward to close the passage 26. The tab 28 is determined to have a shape approximately equal to the hollow-part cross- sectional shape of the mounting part so that solder 34 forms a barrier blocking passage. Thus when the hollow electric terminal 2 is soldered to a printed board 32, the tab 28 prevents the solder 34 from being sucked up from the mounting part 6 to a fitting part 4.
