Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable the manufacturing of this pipe with the high dimensional accuracy and the high manufacturing efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: After a cylindrical steel pipe is formed to a square shape, the square formed pipe is concentrically heated by a round-shaped induction heater 5 until the temperature at its corners rises to 600-800°C. The pipe is cooled by a water cooling head 6 until the temperature of it falls to ≤300°C at the rate of ≤30°C/second. The dimension of the pipe is corrected by a corrector 7.
