Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a slot antenna that not only has a small loss and a desired impedance characteristic due also is formed in combination with a window of a vehicle means, in order to send/receive a radio signal having an omnidirectional pattern with respect to an azimuth, without causing considerable changes in the strength of the signal when the vehicle means changes its direction. CONSTITUTION: This polygonal antenna slot is formed between end ridges 20, 22 by adhering a conductive optically transparent film panel 16 to a window 12 and terminating its outer circumferential ridge 22, so as to be placed apart from a metal-made inner end ridge 20 being a component of a window frame. An unbalanced transmission line is connected to the antenna by connecting its ground conductor 26 to a window frame metal close to the end ridge 20 and concocting its non-ground conductor 30 to the panel 16 closer to a boundary end ridge in parallel with the panel 16.
