Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a radial tire which is small in rolling travel resistance, accordingly, in fuel consumption and excellent in steering stability and movement performance, and capable of holding those kinds of performance for a long period. CONSTITUTION:Changing a belt member 1 from steel cords to organic fiber cords 3 lightens the belt and the tire in its turn. A lack of a belt modulus likely to be caused by the organic fiber cords 3 is solved by applying fiber reinforcement means to a belt rubber layer and holding a Young's modulus equal to or larger than a prescribed lalue. Besides, an early exfoliation of the belt is solved by minimizing the length of reinforcement fiber 2 to the extent that the fiber 2 can go in between the cords.
