PURPOSE: To automate a method and a device for collating newspaper with a handout bundle.

CONSTITUTION: This device is constituted of an expansion preparation device A to maintain a newspaper signature 1 in vertical state and form a vertical signature 2, and a handout collation device B to expand the vertical signature 2 transferred from the device A and to throw a handout bundle P into the expanded section of the signature 2 for forming a collated signature 3.
