Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate storage of an air bad by storing the air bad into a sub- container which is inserted into a main container fixed at a vehicle.
CONSTITUTION: An air bag 18 is folded and stored into a sub-container 20, and the sub-container 20 is stored into a main container 12. Since the air bag 18 is stored into the lightweight sub-container 20 which is provided with a through gas 'hole from an inflator 16, work is very easy with little muscular fatigue even if the sub-container 20 is moved many times in storing the air bag 18. Even if the inflator 16 is replaced with another of different shape, the air bag 18 can be folded in the same way, provided that the shape of the sub- container 20 is the same.
