PURPOSE: To provide a clothes drying means for outdoor use designed to prevent rust formation by expediting draining of rainwater infiltrating leg parts and eliminating the stagnation of the rain water in the leg parts even if the clothes drying means is used while resting outdoors.

CONSTITUTION: This clothes drying means has a leg part structure formed by connecting a horizontal rail 2 via joint 3 to the bottom end of a vertical rail 1. The joint 3 is formed by projecting a horizontal cylindrical part 32 to the flank of a vertical cylindrical part 31. The bottom of the vertical cylindrical part 31 and the back surface in the deep part of the horizontal cylindrical part 3 are provided with water drain holes 33, 36. The horizontal rail 1 is inserted into the horizontal cylindrical part 31 until the vertical rail comes into contact with a stopper 34 therein to form a space part 38 between the end of the vertical rail 1 and the bottom of the vertical cylindrical part 31. The horizontal rail 2 is inserted into the horizontal cylindrical part 32 until the horizontal rail comes into contact with a stopper 37 therein to form a space part 39 between the end of the horizontal rail 2 and the deep part of the horizontal cylindrical part 31. The rain water infiltrating the inside of the leg parts is drained from the water drain holes 33, 36 via the space parts 38, 39.
