Title:
ROTATION DETECTING EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3008861
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detecting precision, productivity and assembling property in a rotation detecting equipment wherein rotation of a rotating member formed of magnetic material is detected while a bias magnetic field is applied to a plurality of Hall elements.
SOLUTION: A bias magnet 18 is fixed on the rear side of a Hall IC 15 wherein two Hall elements 16 are contained at positions which are laterally symmetric. Collecting magnetic poles 19 which are divided in two pieces are fixed on the front side of the Hall IC 15 so as to face the two Hall elements 16. The outer peripheral backs of the collecting magnetic poles 19 are so curved or bent to the bias magnet 18 side that distances between the backs of the collecting magnetic poles 19 and the bias magnet 18 become small on the outer peripheral side of the bias magnet 18. Leakage magnetic flux is reduced by the collecting magnetic poles 19, the interlinkage flux of the Hall elements 16 is increased, and independent flux distribution is obtained in each Hall element 16 by dividing the collecting magnetic pole 19. Thereby, a necessary detecting precision can be ensured when gaps between the Hall elements 16 and a rotating member 32 are increased.
