PURPOSE: To make the shoes comfortable to wear by allowing an imside instep for covering a foot bottom to abut on a cushion material laminated on an insole, and fixing the outside instep with a scoop-sewing thread to a rib on the lower side, in shoes provided with bag-like instep leather by laminating the outside instep and the inside instep.

CONSTITUTION: The shoe bottom is formed by laminating successively inner packing 50, an insole 40 and a cushion material 38 on a main bottom 52. The bag-like instep leather is formed by laminating an inside instep 32 on an outside instep 44. The inside instep 32 is laminated on the cushion material 38 so as to abut on the reverse side of a foot. The outside instep 44 is sewn with a scoop-sewing thread 48 to a rib 42 protruded extending over a peripheral edge part on the reverse side of the insole 40. Also, a welt 46 surrounded in the peripheral edge part of the main bottom 52 is sewn with an outside sewing thread 54. In such a way, the shoes are confortable to wear because a shock is absorbed, and are excellent in water proofness are manufactured.
