Title:
LOCALIZER ANTENNA SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2586303
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suppress the effect of an obstacle close to a landing strip by making a beam width of a radiation pattern of a directional carrier narrow in a 1-array 2-frequency localizer antenna system.
CONSTITUTION: An interval between a couple of antenna elements 1R and 1L arranged in the middle is selected to be 0.6λ and the interval of plural pairs of antenna elements 2R, 2L,..., 7R, 7L arranged sequentially outside with the antenna elements 1R, 1L in-between is selected to be an interval of an arithmetic progression whose difference is 0.1λ and proper power is fed to each antenna element distributingly through a power distributer 10. Thus, the radiation pattern of the directional carrier is made narrow, the width of a radiation electric field ratio of the directional carrier and a clearance carrier is made small to suppress the effect of an obstacle close to a landing strip.
